2019 marks the 110th anniversary of the birth of leading Welsh composer Arwel Hughes.
To mark the occasion the Welsh Proms, in partnership with Oriana Publications and Ty Cerdd, are releasing - for the first time - the complete series of Arwel Hughes' string quartets, in both published and recorded form.

In association with Ty Cerdd, in early 2019, the Welsh Proms will produce an exclusive recording of the three string quartets of Arwel Hughes. The recording will be released on the Ty Cerdd label and launched at the 2019 Welsh Proms in July 2019.
The recording will be available in digital format online from the Welsh Proms and Ty Cerdd websites, and as physical CD recordings at all 2019 Welsh Proms concerts from July 20 to 27th at St David's Hall, Cardiff
